SEAHEC proudly celebrated its 40th Anniversary, marking four decades of service, partnership, and commitment to improving health in rural, border, and immigrant communities across Southeastern Arizona. This milestone represents more than the passage of time, it reflects the lives touched, the communities strengthened, and the deep relationships built through trust, collaboration, and a shared purpose. For forty years, SEAHEC has remained rooted in its mission to improve health through advocacy, education, and action, continuously evolving to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
As part of this celebration, SEAHEC unveiled a special 40th Anniversary documentary, capturing the heart and history of our legacy. The documentary brings to life the stories of the people who have shaped SEAHEC from past and present team members, board members, and students, to partners and community members. It highlights SEAHEC’s unique workforce pipeline, the power of community-led solutions, and the lasting impact of investing in people who go on to serve their own communities. More than a reflection of the past, the documentary is a tribute to the relationships and shared vision that continue to drive SEAHEC forward.
We invite you to watch our 40th Anniversary documentary and experience the story of SEAHEC through the voices of those who have lived it.
The anniversary celebration brought together partners, board members, team members, students , and community members who have all played a role in SEAHEC’s journey. It was a moment to honor those who laid the foundation, including past leadership and the many individuals whose dedication has strengthened the organization over the years. The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration recognizing that SEAHEC’s impact is never achieved alone, but through strong partnerships and a collective commitment to health equity.
Looking ahead, SEAHEC remains committed to building on this legacy. Just as reflected in our logo, the saguaro cactus grows strong through deep roots and its connection to the environment around it. In the same way, SEAHEC continues to grow through the strength of our communities and partnerships.
As we celebrate this milestone, we recommit to advancing innovative solutions, strengthening the health workforce, and addressing the evolving needs of rural and border communities, together.
