OUR VISION: SEAHEC As A Hub For Migrant & Rural Border Health Advocacy, Education & Action

With the continued growth in concern for health equity, as well as in the number of asylum seekers and migrants at our Arizona-Sonora border, SEAHEC is building on its vast experience and partnerships with

health organizations, migrant-serving agencies, and academic institutions

to create a hub for advocacy, action-oriented learning, and action.

OUR VIDEOS

Winchester Heights - A model for Community Empowerment

Our new documentary chronicles SEAHEC’s work over the past decade to create a community health worker driven rural development model. By helping communities build key infrastructure and organizational capacity, we can lower barriers to creating a safe and healthy community for families in low-income, rural communities.

"My Migration Story: A tale of two cities" by Gail Emrick

SEAHEC Executive Director, provides personal testimony on the root causes of migration and insight into what Americans can do about it. Ms. Emrick hopes to reveal “the true complexity of the immigration story,” & the historic, economic, political and social factors “that allow our interconnected worlds to function in a very unjust and untold manner.”

OUR PARTNERS

We collaborate with a range of partners to achieve our mission.
