Prescott- August 20, 2013 – The SEAHEC Board and Executive Director traveled to Prescott, AZ this August to take advantage of the beautiful weather and lovely setting of our former territorial capital (Prescott) and to hold our quarterly board meeting prior to our participation in the Arizona Rural Health Conference. Gail, with the other AzAHEC Center Directors, participated in a panel presentation on Inter-professional Education. Gail highlighted two recent projects which SEAHEC hosted and co-implemented in Santa Cruz County.

San Carlos Apache Healthy Hearts Training a Success

On May 25th, Arizona Healthy Hearts partners SEAHEC, represented by Executive director Gail Emrick, and Intertribal Council of AZ, represented by Naomi Lane, traveled to San Carlos of the San Carlos Apache Nation, for the presentation of certificates of completion to the Community Health Representatives of the San Carlos Tribe.  It was a very special afternoon, as CHRs shared some of their stories about what motivated them in their work in community and what they had accomplished through the NHBLI Heart Health program.
